The March 2017 issue of Clinics in Laboratory Medicine (242 pages) contains a series of articles under this title. Edited by James Westgard, Sven Westgard and David Armbruster the issue may be regarded as the definitive summary of a range of topics in this area of growing importance. Articles for individual use may be accessed from the journal.
One article of particular relevance, by Elvar Theodorsson, is entitled ‘Uncertainty in measurement and total error: tools for coping with diagnostic uncertainty’.
