Invitation to participate in the JCTLM conference: 4-5 December 2017

The biennial JCTLM Members and Stakeholders meeting will be held at the BIPM Headquarters in Sèvres near Paris on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 December 2017. A cordial invitation is extended to anyone who has an interest in traceability in laboratory medicine and method standardisation.

The first day of the conference is entitled ‘Traceability in Action’ and includes sessions on the importance of traceability to patients and to the in-vitro diagnostics industry. There is a symposium on the importance of traceability in external quality assessment (EQA) programmes. The second day of the conference is entitled ‘Traceability into the Future’. It addresses the clinical challenge of biomarkers in neurodegenerative disease and a symposium on future developments in traceability in laboratory medicine that includes several presentations from across the world.

Participants in the conference will be able to present posters of their work in the area of traceability and method standardisation / harmonisation. An abstract of the poster should be included with the on-line registration. This is an opportunity for young investigators to discuss their projects with experts in a supportive global community.

The cost of the conference has been kept to a minimum with a registration fee of just €65 to cover catering. The organisers provide information to help participants make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
